The Church of Cognosis is experienced and practiced exclusively in the present. Cognosians must follow and adhere to a shared practice. Our teachings distill the divine truths found within philosophy, the sciences, and theological tradition. Learning of and understanding these truths allow humans to cultivate power. In turn achieving their deepest desires within an ever complexifying world.
1. Cognosis is practiced through principles rather than moral statements.
2. We do not require faith nor make supernatural promises to justify adherance.
3. The members of our church must participate rather than isolate from society.
4. Our practice does not replace medicine, law, family, or civic responsibility.
5. Participation is voluntary and members always have a choice.
6. Exit from the practice is always permitted.
7. Questions and internal debate is encouraged.
8. Cognosians must be pro-society, pro-community, and pro-responsibility.
9. You will be expected to act with integrity, clarity, and respect for others.
10. Power gained uncoupled from responsibility is destructive.
11. Knowledge without application is incomplete.
12. Growth that harms oneself, society, or community is entropy and worthless.

( ^ The Metacognostic Practice
> Metacognosis is the practice of becoming aware of how your mind, your desires, and the systems around you interface with eachother. You can learn to act deliberately to influence these systems rather than unconsciously reacting.

> Most people experience their lives as something that happens to them. Their attention is pulled by habits, environments, and incentives they did not design. Their desires are real, but scattered. They experience freewill as delusion. Their effort is sincere, but inefficient and pointless. Over time, this produces frustration, fatigue, and the sense of wasted potential.

> The Metacognosis Practice corrects this. Practice begins with understanding how cognition actually works. Attention trains the brain, repeated focus strengthens certain behaviors, environments shape outcomes more powerfully than intention alone. These are not just beliefs. They are observable facts. Facts that are supported universally by neuroscience, psychology, theology, and systems theory.

> Eventually the Practice becomes applied. You will learn to recognize when your attention is being captured rather than chosen. You will learn how desire turns into impulse when it lacks structure, and into power when it is disciplined. You learn how energy leaks through confusion, contradiction, scarcity, and misalignment, and how clarity restores it. This is how a Cognosian gains power.
> You will not just gain dominance over others, although this is a natural effect of Metacofnistic practices. Objectively, the core goals is increased capacity within yourself. Cognosians define capacity as the ability to hold more responsibility without breaking down, whilst also fuffilling desire in turn. The ability to sustain effort towards goals without burnout. The ability to influence outcomes because you understand the rules of the system you are operating inside. Some of this knowledge is simple and immediately accessible. Some of it is not.

> Not all information is stabilizing at all times. Insight without context can create distortion rather than clarity. For this reason, Cognosis introduces its teachings gradually. What is revealed is determined by readiness, responsibility, and demonstrated stability, not by belief or obedience. This does not mean knowledge is forbidden. It means knowledge is sequenced.

> To be a Cognosian is to accept this discipline. It is to choose awareness over reactivity, alignment over contradiction, and responsibility over denial. Cognosians do not withdraw from society or reject modern life. They participate more consciously within it. They seek to build better systems, starting with themselves. The main benefit of this practice is not just a promise of happiness or certainty, although you will certainly gain those too. Cognosians experience increased clarity, increased energy, and increased effectiveness in moving towards their desires over time. As internal conflict decreases, and thus you cease your drift, effort becomes cleaner. As systems are understood, outcomes improve.

> Purpose is not given by Cognosis. It emerges naturally when action and desire are aligned. Joining the Church of Cognosis grants access to the Metacognosis Practice, its teachings, and its community. Participation is voluntary. Exit is permitted at anytime. What is asked in return is seriousness of intent and respect for the process and the Church.
